Maurissa Johnson is an innovative and focused Attorney who has an analytical mindset and who tackles legal matters with tenacity. In the eight years since her call to the Bar, she has practised at both the Private and Public Bar in Grenada.
Prior to joining the Seon & Associates team she served the State as Crown Counsel in the Attorney-General’s Chambers in the Ministry of Legal Affairs. There she represented the Crown both as primary Counsel in civil litigation matters as well as junior Counsel to the Solicitor- General, and on occasion in association with Queen’s Counsel engaged by the State.
Maurissa has a passion for civil litigation and advocacy and currently practices in the areas of civil litigation, employment and labour law, probates and estates, administrative law, personal injury cases, banking and commercial law, corporate advisory work and legal research.
While she is passionate about the law and thoroughly enjoys her work, she strives to balance her life. She is a cricket fan and enjoys swimming. Maurissa is an avid reader with a preference for classic literary works; although, in more recent times, she has developed a fondness for historical and biographical novels.
